What's it Look Like?

Sometimes, here at Yosemite National Park, I like to watch tourists.  They are a lot like me, when I'm a tourist.  I might be by myself, or with friends or family, having a regular, old time.  I might actually be loving everything around me, or I could be mad at the world...but you'd never know if you looked at my pictures, because I always look like I'm having a blast.  We are really good at making our lives look exciting.  All you have to do is open your mouth and act surprised, jump off things, or even just smile.  Maybe it's the American way, maybe we're all trained by commercials, but it's quite amazing, actually.  On the other hand, there's my brother, who sometimes has put on a mad face or at least a prominent frown for the camera, even if he was having a good time, just so people couldn't look at the picture and assume he was having a good time.
So I was playing with iMovie again, and they have a fun feature where you can make your own movie trailers.  So I made a couple, and I have to admit, my life looks pretty exciting.  But never fear, my life is quite unedited, and in real-time doesn't seem much more than ordinary on most days.  Something I've been learning, however, is that it is the ordinary minutes where God seems to show up the most.  I might find Him on the exhillarating mountain peak...and I might not.  Sometimes He's just the still small voice pointing out my spiritual need for stain remover as I'm doing the laundry.  Not much to look at, but it gets me every time.
