New Things

Helping out as a half-sponsor for GCA here at Nosoca Pines Ranch for part of this week.  Today, as part of my sponsor duties, I sat in a boat and watched four black guys from Atlanta attempt to learn wakeboarding.  It was awesome.  Not because they were awesome, because sadly, they were not.  Two of them got up for a combined total of about six seconds.  But it was awesome because they tried.  I've tried new things, yes, but not when I am pretty sure I'm going to fail, like these guys were.  And if I did--and failed--I definitely didn't have a good time--like these guys.

It's safer to just do things you're good at.  But it's a lot more awesome to try lots of things you fail at.  You tryers and failers are my heroes. :)
