A Letter

July 7, 2012
Dear Andrea,
You’ve learned to live life on your own, to make sure you can take care of yourself and others.  I’ve been teaching you, letting some of life’s challenges wear you down, because I want you to stop trying to take on life by yourself.  You see yourself as a warrior sometimes, but I know right now you feel like a veteran who is tired, and ready for your pension and a life of ease.  I can’t promise you that yet.  You know that your reward is coming in Heaven, but for now you’ve got to keep going.  But that doesn’t mean what you automatically think—trudging, crawling, grasping.  It means…when you’re flat on your back, you look at the sky and remember me and trust me.  Just like when you broke your foot.  I am strong enough, so let go, and let Me be strong for you, ok?  Right now you still have some time to wait.  I know this still stresses you, no matter how much you try to act like everything is fine.  But I want you to use this time to spend with Me.  We still have a lot to heal in your heart, and even though you want to rush it, trust Me and know that it’s better if you don’t try to rush it.  I will show you how to make life meaningful during the waiting time, and I will give you hints along the way to let you know I have everything worked out, and you will be ready when the time is right to get moving again.  In the mean time, take My permission to rest.  And take time to pray, because many, many battles still need to be fought on your knees—for yourself, for your friends, your family, for Yap.  But let Me fight those battles.  Just whisper My name, thank Me for what I am doing, and release them to Me.  We will fight together, you and I.  But first and foremost, you are My daughter, my Princess.  You have a warrior’s heart, but sometimes you need to set the sword down and just let Me love you for awhile.  Then your sword will be sharper than ever.

I love you.  Please don’t forget.  I have never forgotten you, and I never will.
Love and a Smile,
God

Yes. God is faithful, and I know your faithfulness to Him is a testimony more precious than gold!
