Shine, Butterfly!
In the shadows
She is only a plain, dark butterfly.
She doesn't flash gold, crimson, or purple.
Without the light,
She is the color of night.
But in the sunshine,
She spreads her wings
And shimmers iridescent blue.
There is no shame in the light, little butterfly.
Let it shine on you,
That others may see your true beauty
And glorify their Father in Heaven,
Your Divine Designer.
May we follow you into the Light,
And find
And shine
The true colors He's designed
In us.
She doesn't flash gold, crimson, or purple.
Without the light,
She is the color of night.
But in the sunshine,
She spreads her wings
And shimmers iridescent blue.
There is no shame in the light, little butterfly.
Let it shine on you,
That others may see your true beauty
And glorify their Father in Heaven,
Your Divine Designer.
May we follow you into the Light,
And find
And shine
The true colors He's designed
In us.
