10 Years

"Heh, heh...it's too bad they didn't have these couches when we were here, huh?"

"Oh, wow, those classrooms look exactly the same!"

"It's so crazy!   The ad building is totally gone!"

"So, you probably don't remember me...but I used to babysit you..."

"It's your 10 year already?!"

"Oh hoho...you haven't changed a bit."

These and many other classic high school reunion lines smothered the grounds of Columbia Adventist Academy this last weekend.  Since I am currently on the West coast, I decided to go there for my 10 year reunion instead of where I actually graduated from, at Georgia Cumberland Academy.  I really enjoyed it though, since I really grew up with these "kids" from 5th grade through 10th grade.  And really, we look the same.  It's weird.  And everyone is quite normal.  Which is good.

I really enjoyed my time there, and yet it gave me a lot to think about, as I drove around my old town and saw my old house and some old parks we used to go to as a kid.  Sometimes I just feel really confused about where I am from.  But at the same time, I realize that some of the places I am from are amazingly beautiful.
